I'm Baaaack!
Sixish weeks of travel has been sufficient...to what I still don't know, but 'm back at my bloggy box, in my own bloggy chair, ready to share my bloggy thoughts.
Should I regurgitate my itinerary?
''WhatIDidOnMySummerVacation...wanna see my pix?
Greyhound....running with the dogs
2:00 am 0n a Thursday
Louisville, KY
Amish lady asks where I'm headed...I bet she is trying to figure out what I am...My hair is covered, I wear a long plain dress, sleeves, closed neckline
I crochet
I tell here I'm going to Lawrence, KS
She's going to Ohio...
We lose contact
Fat man who has no intimate knowledge of soap and water crowds next to me...
I hug up to the freezing window and put my nose by the slit where the a/c comes out...I snooze.
I find the most incredible Yarn and Textile emporium in the mid-west...I spend hours there. I buy a piece of antique lace in another shop...a collar, is it handmade or machine work...can't really tell, someone cared enough to carefully repair it once.
Dad is 82, Mom is 81...they're nice people...he is shorter than her now, less than five feet tall probably. He looks like a garden gnome, she still has a good figure. She smokes too much and talks about everything and everyone. He no longer uses margerine, since the bypass surgery. She has low blood pressure and diabetes, so she is less active than before.
I think I lost some weight, maybe five pounds.
Glen Canyon Colorado is everything the tour books say...we whiz through on I-70.
I have a window seat.
there was a lot more
maybe later
